Feb 19, Friday Weigh-in

I have not measured myself. So, I don’t have any results to post in that regard.
After making some bad eating choices last weekend, I pulled myself together. I banned sugar, white bread, and the kids snacks (graham crackers, sweet cereal, goldfish). I really wanted to eat all of that stuff, but I resisted. And the scale smiled on me this morning. I’m down 4 pounds from last Friday (and 6 from what the scale said on Sunday morning) and as low as I was right before Christmas. It’s nice to be back on track. I do not want to have to lose these pounds again.

I’m working on a system that I think will work to keep me on track. I’m still tinkering with how to implement it, but I’m feeling more confident in being able to see this through.


Missing Friday weigh-in report

I failed to report in with my weight-loss progress on Friday. I was up a half pound the previous week. When I weighed on Friday, I was up another 1.5.

I so hate that I just start eating and don’t stop.

It’s not that I’m working hard and doing the right things and not seeing results. I’m frustrated that I keep choosing to do the wrong things.


Friday check-in

For the first time in a very long time, I kept track of everything I ate for an entire week. I don’t remember when I last did that and I’m so glad I did! I was down 2.8 pounds this week. It was encouraging to make some progress. I also was down 2.75 inches from last week. So, for this month, I’m down 4.4 pounds and 5 inches.

Since I last checked in, I’ve run a little over 14 miles and I’ve been working on my Shred DVD. I took a few days off of DVD because my knees and joints were aching and I didn’t want an injury. I ran really hard on Tuesday (4 miles in 48 minutes– that’s faster than I usually do my long runs– and 4 miles is a long run for me right now) and I was feeling it the next day.

I’m still not down to my pre-holiday weight, but I’m feeling more confident that I’m going to get there. I’m going bridesmaid dress shopping next week for Brian and Missy’s wedding and I hope to be down 2 more pounds by then. Something to work toward, I guess!


Friday Shred Update and Date Night!

As of the end of the day on Friday, I had completed 5 days in a row of working out using the 30 Day Shred DVD. Yesterday, I switched to level 2 again. I felt like I needed it to be a little harder since I had made plenty of poor eating choices that day.
When I weighed and measured yesterday, I was down 2 pounds and 1.5 inches. That’s mostly holiday weight that was just waiting to leave. I’m still carrying a few holiday pounds. So, don’t get too envious of me. I’m not losing any “new” weight yet. Back to losing the same pounds that I’ve been gaining and losing since July.

In unrelated news, Nathan and I went out last night. We made a trip to Menards to buy sealer/primer and paint for our room and E&A’s room. The walls are ready for painting. They are perfectly mudded and sanded and I have most of my house back. The kids slept in their own room last night for the first time in almost 2 weeks! After the Menards trip, we went to Applebee’s for supper. On the way home, we picked up a Wii and Wii Fit Plus. Nathan had been eyeing them for quite a while.

We got home at 10:30, and then we stayed up for 2 hours bowling, hula-hooping, ski-jumping and doing other fun things. According to my weight and lack balance last night, the Wii program told me that my calculated age was 44 or 45. I guess I have some work to do!
