We arrived “home” today.
The weather for the drive was beautiful. The kids slept soundly last night and Nathan had his first full night of sleep in a week.
We arrived in Franklin around 1:30. We called our contact person to get the keys to our home and went out for lunch at Steak N’ Shake. Lots of after church lunch-goers were there! Then we were off to see our home and unload the stuff we had in the van and the car.
I didn’t take any photos of the house yet, but I’m hoping to tomorrow. We did get a photo of our family together at the rest stop we stopped at just inside the Tennessee border. I also have more photos to post from earlier. I don’t have a way to get them on the computer right now!
I cannot wait to get our things settled into our home! Tomorrow is the day the trailer with all our stuff arrives. The kids are tired of not having their own rooms and beds and so am I!
Please pray for Nathan as he has his first day at Lampo tomorrow and the kids and I say “goodbye” to Grandpa Henning. A bittersweet day, for sure.
