We took off on Friday morning for Pennsylvania for Luke and Krista’s wedding. The kids stayed at my dad’s house and and we spent the night there the night before we left so we wouldn’t have to leave so early in the morning. Our flight left at 6:00am. We were at the airport by 4:30. The good news about being there that early is that the lines are not long! We flew to Milwaukee first and then got on a smaller plane (14 rows or so) to Pittsburgh.
The wedding went off without a hitch except for the weather. It was rainy all weekend so they moved the wedding to the church. It was supposed to be outside, but it worked out really well. Everyone was happy and in a celebratory mood. Krista and Luke seemed relaxed and able to enjoy the day. I loved hearing the Fritz siblings (minus Luke) and Tim sing. The Taylors love Luke and all the Fritzes adore Krista. We’ll have lots of great family moments with all the chairs filled around the table!
Ethan, Audrey and Isaac had fun with Grandpa, Joyce, Brian and Missy. They had trips to the park, ice cream cones, foot long hot dogs, and lots of playing. They didn’t miss us. In fact, Ethan didn’t want to come home today! This may change at different stages of life, but so far, Ethan and Audrey don’t get scared or sad when they spend time and Nana and Grandpa’s in Wisconsin on with my dad in Cottage Grove. It’s nice to leave them in capable hands of people who really love them. Only a little over a month until Ethan and Audrey get to go visit Nana and Grandpa again. They can’t wait to see the goats!
Tomorrow we get back to our regular schedule. It’s nice to be home.
