I picked up the book, You On A Diet, a couple of years ago. It has some really great information. One thing that it stressed was picking two meals a day (probably breakfast and lunch) and having that every day. If you are someone who needs something different every day, this might not work, but if you are like me, you stick to the same 2 or 3 meals for lunch and breakfast every day.
This could work hand in hand with the previous habit. Once you’ve taken the time to find out how many calories are in your favorite foods, you can easily build a list of 2-3 menus that you can pick from that you know you will like, will be good for you and leave you enough calories for supper and snacks if you like.
This does take a little homework, but once it’s done, it’s done. You don’t have to do it again until you’re bored with it or the seasons change and you want something more seasonal. Here are some resources for 300 calorie meals. I’m sure there are more out there.
